The next stop on this tour of the UK was Bath. It's a very beautiful town with many sights to see,.
Bath Abbey, whose roots go back to about 675 AD.
Naturally, a visit to the Roman baths figures prominently in any visit to this city. They date back to 60 AD.
Street performer abound. Fortunately, this fellow didn't end up falling or burned...
There are a number of bridges across the River Avon in Bath. Many nice views to be found!
Flood level markers that go way back...
It looks like Banksy was here
The Royal Crescent (built 1767-1774) and its adjoining park are absolutely gorgeous.
Looking for more places to photograph...
A statue lauding temperance outside of Bath Abbey.
Time for a peak inside the abbey...
And some more wandering around the town
The Pulteney Bridge dates back to 1774 and has shops on both sides, all along its span.
Drat! I had so wanted to dive from here.
Completed about 1764, the Prior Park Landscape Garden is also worth a look.
The alternate road back to town leads past a church dating back to 1498.
